Privacy Policy

Effective October 1, 2026

This policy describes what Superior Renovation actually does with your information — what we collect, where it goes, and how to get it removed. It covers superiorreno.ca, the enquiry forms on it, and the enquiry forms in our Facebook and Instagram ads.

Superior Renovation Toronto Inc. (“Superior Reno”, “we”) is a renovation contractor operating in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. You can reach us at [email protected] or 647‑709‑6622.

What we collect

When you fill in a form, we collect what you type: your name, email address, phone number, the postal code or area of the property, the type of project, and any message you write. Our short hero forms ask for less — a name, a phone number and a postal code.

Automatically, when you submit a form, we also record the country and province your request came from, the first three characters of your postal code (the forward sortation area, roughly your neighbourhood — not your street address), a general classification of your browser, which page you submitted from, and any advertising click identifier attached to the link you arrived on.

Forms in our Facebook and Instagram ads

Some of our ads open an enquiry form inside Facebook or Instagram instead of sending you to this website. Meta may fill in parts of it from your profile — usually your name, email address and phone number — and you can change anything before you send it. The form also asks a few questions about your project, such as the type of property, the scope of work, your budget range and your postal code.

When you submit, Meta passes your answers to us and we store them alongside our other enquiries. From then on we handle them exactly as this policy describes: we use them to contact you and prepare a quote, and we share them only with the providers listed below.

Meta’s own handling of the information on its platforms is covered by the Meta Privacy Policy.

Why we collect it

To reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote, and run our business. We also use it to work out which advertising is producing real enquiries, so we are not paying for ads that do not work. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to make automated decisions that affect you.

Cookies

We set a small number of first-party cookies on superiorreno.ca. They record how you arrived, not what you do elsewhere on the internet.

Cookie Kept for What it is for
_sr_gclid 90 days The Google Ads click identifier from the link you arrived on, so we can tell which ad led to your enquiry.
_sr_fbclid 90 days The same thing for Meta (Facebook and Instagram) ads.
_sr_fbc 90 days The Meta click identifier in the format Meta requires for attribution.
_sr_utm 30 days Campaign tags (source, medium, campaign) from the link you arrived on.
_fbp, _fbc Up to 90 days Set by the Meta Pixel itself, not by us. Meta uses them to recognise a browser across visits.

You can clear or block these in your browser settings at any time. Blocking them does not stop you using the site or submitting an enquiry.

Who else sees it

We use a small number of service providers. They may only use your information to provide their service to us.

Who What for What they receive
Cloudflare Hosting, and the database your enquiry is stored in. Everything you submit.
Supabase A backup copy of the enquiry database. Everything you submit.
Resend Delivers your enquiry to us by email. Your name, email, phone and message.
6 Percent Media Our marketing agency. They receive enquiry notifications and manage our advertising. Your name, email, phone and message.
Google Advertising measurement, so we know which ads produce real enquiries. The click identifier, plus fingerprints of your email and phone. Never the plain values.
Meta Advertising measurement for Facebook and Instagram. The click identifier, fingerprints of your contact and location details, and your IP address and browser user-agent, which Meta requires in readable form.

Some of these providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. While it is there, it may be accessible to authorities in that country under their laws.

Advertising measurement, in plain terms

When you submit an enquiry, we tell Google and Meta that an enquiry happened, so they can attribute it to the ad you clicked. This is worth being specific about:

  • Your email address and phone number are converted into an irreversible fingerprint (a SHA‑256 hash) before they leave our systems. Google and Meta receive the fingerprint, never the address or the number itself. They can check it against a fingerprint they already hold; they cannot read your details out of it.
  • The same applies to your name, city, province and postal code when sent to Meta.
  • Two things are sent in readable form: your IP address and your browser’s user-agent string. Meta requires both unhashed for this to work. We think you should know that rather than have it buried.
  • We attach an estimated project value to the enquiry so the advertising platforms can prioritise larger projects. It is an estimate produced by us, not anything you told us.

You can limit how Meta and Google use this through their own controls: Meta ad preferences and Google ad settings.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records for 24 months from your last contact with us, after which they are deleted. If you become a customer, we keep project and financial records for as long as Canadian tax and business law requires. You can ask us to delete your information sooner and we will, unless we are required to keep it.

Your rights

Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you;
  • correct it if it is wrong;
  • delete it;
  • stop using it for advertising measurement.

Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with how we handle it, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Children

This site is meant for adults arranging renovation work. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the effective date above. Material changes to how we use information already collected will be notified to anyone affected.
